Residential development of five contemporary dwellings, Farnham, Surrey

Planning permission was granted for the demolition of the existing dwelling and associated kennel buildings and their replacement with five contemporary dwellings. The site is located in the countryside on an elevated position with fantastic views over the wooded valley to the north. The dwellings have been designed to work with the slope of the site to keep the visible bulk and mass to a minimum. The contemporary design is achieved with areas of render and timber cladding with aluminium detailing. The use of flat roofs allows large areas of terracing. These maximise the amenity space and offer views over the valley beyond
